  • Leadership – Students need to participate fully in every task for the team and guide their teammates in reaching their objectives whenever they are involved in group activities.


  • Patience - It is common for students to become irritable when they lack patience. To meet their goals, students must be patient.


  • Speaking in public - students should learn how to speak in public. They can enhance their speaking skills by participating in debates, group discussions, recitations, and spelling contests. Their confidence grows, and they become more social.

Author Daniel Goleman has identified five areas of emotional intelligence. Three of those areas relate directly to individuals, and two to relationships.


  • Self-awareness, self-regulation, and motivation are personal skills, or 'how we manage ourselves. For this reason, our ability to understand and manage our feelings and our motivation is our first step towards understanding the emotions of others and managing them.


  • As mentioned earlier, empathy and social skills are the skills we use to deal with other people. To be able to interact with others effectively, one has to understand and feel for others.


Developing your emotional intelligence allows you to understand better that other people view things differently. Understanding someone's perspective is easier when you see the world from their perspective. In so doing, you may gain respect and trust from others while you learn something.


Practicing your interpersonal skills in particular scenarios will help you improve them. Interpersonal skills come in handy in some situations. You will improve your ability to perform better of employer value teamwork skills if you intentionally put yourself in those situations, practice your skills, and reflect on the results.

  • Mediation and resolution of conflicts are two situations in which interpersonal skills must be tested.

Unfortunately, conflicts sometimes arise because interpersonal communications are poorly handled or inadequately listened to. Conversely, it is possible to resolve conflicts if both parties carefully listen to each other. To demonstrate respect for both parties, a win-win situation is crucial here as well.
